Hearing aids come in many shapes, sizes, and colors for people of all ages. While hearing aids can’t completely restore normal hearing, they can dramatically improve your hearing by amplifying soft sounds to help you hear sounds that you’ve had trouble hearing.

Perhaps you’ve thought about getting a hearing aid (or two), but you’re worried about how it will look or whether it will really help. Today’s hearing aids are so advanced that there are a variety of features between hearing aid styles and brands. As technology has increased in the field of hearing aids, so have the options and availability.

We will help you decide which hearing aid style and brand will be best for your hearing health! This can range from styles that allow manual adjustments all the way to hearing aids that adjust for you.

Once you have completed our hearing evaluation and it is determined that you would benefit from hearing devices, we will provide recommendations on products that meet your specific needs, including your lifestyle and budget.

Since hearing loss affects everyone differently, we take the time to ensure that your hearing aids are programmed to meet your exact specifications. During your hearing aid fitting, you’ll also learn about some key functionalities of your devices, including how to insert and remove them, tips for keeping them clean, and how to replace the batteries.

It’s our goal to make sure you are comfortable with your new devices before leaving our office, but please keep in mind we are always here for additional questions.

What Can I Expect From My New Devices?

First time hearing aid users find that there is generally a learning curve associated with using their devices. It takes some time for your brain to adjust to hearing different sounds that it may have been missing, and it’s completely normal for it to be a bit odd at first.

During your hearing aid fitting, we make every effort to adjust your devices so they will function for you out in the real world. We do realize, however, that sometimes additional fine-tuning is needed after you’ve worn your aids on a daily basis.
